Supporting Children with Feeding Challenges Through Gentle, Evidence-Based Therapy
If your child finds eating stressful, avoids certain textures, or struggles to chew or swallow, our team can help.
Feeding therapy is evidence-based, positive, supportive, and guided by your child’s comfort and readiness.
Feeding Therapy at Coastal Kids
Our therapists use the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS ) approach to feeding disorders in children. This approach helps your child feel safe and successful with food, while supporting families in managing mealtimes in the home. We support parents with practical tips and meal routines that reduce stress for the whole family.
We have both speech pathologists and occupational therapists who are trained in the SOS approach.
We support children with
Picky eating and food refusal.
Difficulties chewing or swallowing.
Transitioning to solids or new textures.
Mealtime battles and oral aversions.
