At Coastal Kids Allied Health, we proudly support families navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). If your child has a developmental delay or disability, the NDIS may provide funding for the support they need to reach their goals and participate more fully in everyday life.
Whether you’re just starting to learn about the NDIS or need help using your current plan, we’re here to make the process easier for you.
The NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is a government-funded program that provides support to Australians living with a permanent and significant disability. It’s designed to give people more choice and control over the services and supports they access, including therapies like speech pathology, occupational therapy, and support from allied health assistants.
At Coastal Kids, we can help deliver services under the NDIS in a way that works for your child and family.
Your child may be eligible for NDIS funding if they:
Applying for the NDIS can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to help. We’re happy to provide supporting documentation and communicate with your NDIS planner to help set your child up for success.
The steps to apply generally include:
Use the NDIS eligibility checklist online or call 1800 800 110 to speak with the NDIS.
This can be done by phone or by completing a paper Access Request Form.
This may include reports or letters from health professionals.
Once your application is submitted, the NDIS will assess your child’s needs.
If your child is eligible, you’ll meet with a planner to develop a personalised plan that includes funding for the supports your child needs.
Coastal Kids Allied Health provides services under NDIS self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed arrangements.
Our team works collaboratively with families, schools, and other service providers to ensure therapy is meaningful and goal-focused.
If you have questions about applying, using your plan, or how we can support your child under the NDIS, please contact our friendly team. We’re here to help every step of the way.
If you aren’t eligible for NDIS, there are some other funding options available.
